Meet Sofía

Welcome! For more than 25 years, I have had the privilege of supporting children, individuals, and families through some of life's most important journeys. My career began in early childhood education, where I developed a deep appreciation for the unique strengths, personalities, and potential within every child. Over time, my work expanded into supporting individuals across the autism spectrum and those with a wide range of support needs, allowing me to partner with families through moments of growth, challenge, celebration, and transition.

Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: my belief that every person deserves a life filled with opportunity, meaningful relationships, community connection, dignity, and choice. I have seen firsthand the resilience of individuals with disabilities and the unwavering dedication of the families who support them. It is this experience that continues to inspire and guide my work today.

As the founder of SOFIA Facilitation Services, I am committed to providing thoughtful, person-centered support that honors the unique goals, values, and dreams of each individual and family I serve. I work closely with participants and their support networks to develop Person-Centered Plans, navigate the Self-Determination Program, identify meaningful opportunities, and create supports that are both practical and sustainable.
